Bruker Remote sensing

Bruker Remote sensing

Bruker Optics offers a broad portfolio of FT-IR-based remote sensing systems that identify and quantify gases from a distance rather than requiring a sample to be brought to the instrument. The range spans open-path monitoring, passive and solar-absorption spectrometers, gas imaging and dedicated chemical-warfare-agent detection, so a system can be matched to the required range, mobility and gas type. The Open Path Spectrometer (OPS) automates real-time quantification of multiple gas compounds up to 500 metres away with extremely low detection limits, while the EM 27 is a mobile passive system with high optical throughput and low spectral noise for fast identification over long distances. The EM 27/SUN tracks the sun to quantify atmospheric gases such as greenhouse gases by solar absorption, SIGIS 2 automatically identifies and visualises dangerous gas compounds from a distance and is used by emergency response forces worldwide, and the HI 90 hyperspectral imager reconstructs 3D gas clouds tomographically for real-time visualisation.

Available systems:

• OPS Open Path Spectrometer - real-time multi-gas quantification up to 500 m

• EM 27 - mobile passive remote sensing, high throughput, low noise

• EM 27/SUN - solar-tracking absorption spectrometer for atmospheric gas quantification

• SIGIS 2 - scanning infrared gas imaging for hazardous gas identification, used by emergency responders

• HI 90 - hyperspectral imager with 3D gas cloud reconstruction

• RAPIDplus - military-proven, real-time chemical warfare agent and toxic industrial chemical detection

Typical applications:

• Long-distance gas leak detection and quantification

• Atmospheric and greenhouse gas monitoring

• Emergency response to hazardous gas releases

• Chemical warfare agent and toxic industrial chemical detection
