Sartorius Arium ultrapure water systems are modular, customizable Type 1 (ASTM Type I) laboratory water purification systems designed to produce the highest quality water for analytical, life-science and laboratory applications, where even trace impurities can compromise accuracy and lead to costly repeat analyses. The range spans the compact Arium Mini for low-to-mid daily use, the Arium Mini Extend with flexible handheld dispensing, the Arium Pro for mid-to-high daily volumes, and the Arium Comfort, an all-in-one system producing both Type 1 ultrapure and Type 2 or 3 pure water from tap water. Systems can be configured with optional UV lamps and ultrafilters, and paired with the Arium Smart Station dispensing unit and the closed Arium Bagtank storage system, which protects purified water from secondary contamination.

Sartorius Arium Advance EDI (Type 2) and Arium Advance RO (Type 3) pure water systems achieve the highest ion retention rates with optimal water yield, reliably removing oxidants, heavy metal ions and particles from tap water, with pretreated water stored in the innovative closed Arium Bagtank system to protect it from secondary contamination. The Arium Advance RO reverse-osmosis system connects directly to the potable tap water supply and delivers flow rates of 8, 16 or 24 L/h with automatic backflush, while the Arium Advance EDI (electrodeionisation) system uses three purification steps for consistently high Type 2 water quality at flow rates of 5 or 10 L/h; both include the iJust function that optimizes water quality and usage. The Arium Comfort combines pretreatment of tap water to Type 2 or 3 quality with additional ASTM Type 1 ultrapure water production in a single all-in-one system.

The Sartorius Arium Comfort is an all-in-one water purification system that pretreats potable tap water to Type 2 or 3 quality and simultaneously produces ASTM Type 1 ultrapure water, making it ideal for laboratories with mid-level daily consumption of Type 1 water. Its intermediate production rate can be selected according to the required Type 2 or 3 water consumption, and innovative Arium Bagtank technology gives direct access to the intermediate Type 2 or 3 water while protecting it from secondary contamination, with direct connection to the potable tap water supply and the option to combine additional dispensing units for pure and/or ultrapure output. This combined approach lets a single system replace separate pure- and ultrapure-water installations in laboratories that need both grades from one connection point.
