The Xplorer-NS offers fast, accurate, and precise analysis of liquid, LPG, gas, and solid samples Elemental combustion analyzer for Total Nitrogen by Chemiluminescence and Total Sulfur by UV-Fluorescence
The Xplorer-NS is the smallest Total Nitrogen (TN) and Total Sulfur (TS) analyzer available in today’s market. This advanced elemental combustion analyzer offers fast, accurate, and precise analysis of liquid, LPG, gas, and solid samples. It is designed to offer standardized and customized solutions to match current as well as future analytical needs, ranging from low ppb to high ppm applications.
The Xplorer-NS measures Nitrogen and Sulfur simultaneously. Valuable information about a sample that contains both elements is created during a single run. With its low detection limit it is possible to measure concentrations at ppb level. Detection through Chemiluminescence and UV-Fluorescence with sample combustion at high temperature are the reference methods for the determination of Total Nitrogen and Total Sulfur. Separate analysis of Total Nitrogen or Total Sulfur can be done with the Xplorer-N or Xplorer-S.
International Standards: EN 17178, JIS 2609, JIS 2541, IP 490, GB/T 17674, UOP 981, UOP 987, UOP 971, UOP 936, SH/T 0689, SH/T 0657, ASTM D7184, ASTM D7183, ASTM D6667, ASTM D6069, ASTM D5762, ASTM D5453, ASTM D4629, DIN 15846, ISO 20846, IS 517, IS 4576, JIS K 2240
Elemental Combustion Analyzer for Total Chloride and Total Sulfur by Microcoulometry
The Xplorer TX/TS is a microcoulometric Total Chloride and Total Sulfur combustion analyzer. It blends into every laboratory environment, whether it is for R&D, chemical or petrochemical applications. Solid, liquid, gas and LPG samples; this robust Elemental Combustion Analyzer handles them all. Determination of Chloride and Sulfur concentrations according to Microcoulometry is an absolute technique and calibrating the analyzer is not a requirement. With its low detection limit it is possible to measure concentrations at ppb level.
The Xplorer-TX (MCT) and the Xplorer-TS (MCT) are also available as seperate models.
International Standards: ASTM D3120, GB/T 18612, GB/T 11061, SH/T 0253, UOP 910, UOP 779, GB/T 11060.4, ASTM D3246, ASTM D7457, ASTM D6721, ASTM D5808, ASTM D5194, ASTM D4929, ASTM D3961, EPA 9076, GOST R 52247, NEN 5735, NEN 5777, NEN 6979, NEN 6402, NEN 6676, DIN 38409-8, DIN 51408-2, NEN-EN 14077
Elemental Combustion Analyzer for Adsorbable Organic Halogens (AOX), TOX, EOX and POX by Microcoulometry
The XPLORER AOX/TOX is designed to analyze rapidly and precise in a wide range of liquid and solid matrices. It is ideal for laboratories performing Organic Halogen analysis, if necessary for round-the-clock operation. The AOX, TOX, EOX and POX modules are easily interchangeable.
High throughput AOX analysis is enabled by a unique slider principle, the Xplorer simply utilizes Newton’s law of gravity, by allowing the cup or frit to ‘fall’ into the boat, before entering the horizontal furnace.
When the boat returns from the furnace, the slider moves to the eject position, where the used cup or frit is collected for re-use, without any pile-up in the furnace tube.
International Standards: NEN 6401, ISO 9562, ISO 11480, GB/T 15959, ASTM D4744, EPA 9023, EPA 9021, EPA 9020B, EPA 1650B, EN 1485, DIN 38414-18, DIN 38409-22, DIN 38409-14, DIN 38414-17
The Xpert, a true All-In-One footprint solution
TE Instruments is proud to present this innovative elemental combustion solution; the Xpert TOC/TNb analyzer. Decades of experience have been deployed to create this new analyzer which represents the ultimate combination of robustness, accurate sample analysis and user convenience. The Xpert enables its user to analyze Total Organic Carbon (TOC) and Total bound Nitrogen (TNb) simultaneously, within a few minutes from a single injection.
This analyzer can be configured as a combined TOC/TNb or single parameter analyzer. TE Instruments designed the Xpert in a unique way by integrating the liquids autosampler and TN detector into the footprint of the analyzer. No separate modules or footprint expansion. By default, the liquids autosampler is included with every Xpert analyzer.
A fully automatic Total Organic Carbon and Total Bound Nitrogen analyzer following the high temperature with catalyst combustion test methods.

Automated Sample Preparation Solution for the Analysis of Total Fluorine, Chlorine, Bromine, and Iodine by Combustion Ion Chromatography Method
Combustion Ion Chromatography
TE Instruments introduces the world’s first independent sample preparation system for Combustion Ion Chromatography analysis: the Xprep C-IC. This unique configuration redefines automated combustion IC analysis through its innovative design and functionalities.
Besides full control over sample combustion, the Xprep C-IC not only collects the oxidized gas stream, but also automatically transfers a fraction of the absorbance solution to any renowned IC system. The ideal solution to cover the increasing demand for analysis of corrosive halogens (Fluor, Chlorine, Bromine, Iodine) and Sulfur compounds (e.g. Sulfate, Sulfite, Thiosulfate) in different matrices. These analytes need to be monitored because they are corrosive, poison catalysts, damage industrial equipment, and are harmful to the environment.
TE Instruments developed a fully automated, extremely compact sample preparation system covering the oxidative pyrohydrolytic combustion, fraction collection, and sample injection towards the IC. The Xprep C-IC can introduce samples both via optimized direct injection (liquids module) and conventional boat-inlet (boat module) into a horizontal furnace. This automated sample-prep solution reduces complexity of sample transfer and significantly improves user convenience.
