The BUCHI Lyovapor L-210 is a benchtop freeze dryer designed for gentle, reproducible lyophilisation of temperature-sensitive samples across pharmaceutical, biotech, food and academic laboratories. Infinite-Control technology provides a live graphical display of process parameters, automatic endpoint detection for primary and secondary drying, and sample-protection alarms - ensuring product integrity from freezing to final packaging. The ice condenser reaches -55 °C and holds up to 6 kg of ice, with a matched condensing performance of up to 6 kg per 24 hours, making the L-210 well suited to daily throughput of aqueous samples in flasks, vials, micro-titer plates or trays. A modular chamber concept - 12- or 24-port manifolds for flask work, and front-loading chambers with heated or non-heated shelves for vials, plates and trays - allows the same base unit to be tailored to the sample formats each laboratory actually uses, and to be reconfigured as needs evolve. An automatic hot-gas de-icing feature accelerates turnaround between runs, while the low-GWP refrigerant (GWP = 3) reduces the instrument's environmental footprint. The optional Pro sample-protection mode automatically pauses the process if the product temperature approaches the collapse threshold, protecting valuable proteins, peptides, biologically active compounds and formulated pharmaceutical intermediates from irreversible damage.
